The Military Situation - Security forces opened fire on the demonstrations in Daf el-Shok and Al-Kadam in Damascus that claimed the lives of 11 martyrs and caused many injuries.(1) - Security forces stormed Al-Madiq citadel and alarbaeen district in Hama. In addition, they stormed Al-Karak Al-Sharqi in Daraa amid heavy shelling.(1)

Political Stances Arab - The Arab League (AL) announced holding an urgent Arab ministerial meeting on current April 26th.(1) International - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calls on the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution on banning exporting weapons to Syria. In addition, she called for taking further strict measures for stopping the bloodshed that lasted for 13 months in Syria.(11) - US ambassador to the UN Security Council Susan Rice said that Al-Assad's regime started to commit a new wave of violence since it announced the ceasefire.(4) - The French presidential hopeful Francois Hollande backs France's contribution to a military operation against Syria within the framework of the United Nations.(1)(4)(16) - The United Nations Secretary General Ban Kimoon said" Damascus has not completely withdrawn its heavy weapons from the Syrian towns as per Annan's plan for peace.(1)(2)(4) - Russian Foreign Ministry asserts that the ceasefire decision has been implemented in Syria despite some violations and provocations, adding that the disputing parties would face two choices: whether the peaceful national dialogue or facing a civil war.
