The Council has gender and GBV action plan that is in line with SADC Protocol. The action plan is yet to be signed and implemented by the Council The Council also, recognizes and sensitizes the communities, through public gatherings important dates that are relevant to reduction of GBV.
ARE THERE ANY GENDER AND GBV CONCERNS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN, DESCRIBE THEIR INVOLVMENT
Both men and women are involved in activities and INSTITUTIONAL
initiatives towards reduction through advocacy. Where necessary, the Council involves the offices of Child and Gender Protection Unit and the Master of High Court. The Council does not discriminate during the process of land adjudication.
DOES THE COUNCIL HAVE DEDICATED RESOURCES (HUMAN & FINANCIAL) DEDICATED FOR GENDER MAINSTREAMING AND GBV INITIATIVES?
Council at the moment does not have both human and INSTITUTIONAL
financial resources . However, all gender issues are being dealt with by the Social Service of the Council. The council budget at the moment is still being controlled by the Central Government, and normally the Council Prepares the annual budget in line with National Government priorities.

Part of ESP was also used to empower support groups in the villages, especially, male dominant ones with the view to encourage men to take part in reduction of GBV.
