    A bit counting circuit counts the number of 1's in a binary number. It takes a binary number as input and outputs the count of 1's present in it. The circuit uses cascaded half adders to count the number of 1's. Each half adder counts the 1's in adjacent bits and cascades the output to the next stage for further counting.
