Deportivo Thurrock 2011/12 Season

Its the end of another long Deportivo Thurrock FC season. As usual, there were many ups and downs, but a few too many downs during this campaign. However, the team is still going strong and things are looking good for next year. Depor ended the season in much stronger fashion with 3 wins in the last 4 league games.

Games Won: 6 Games Drawn: 2 Games Lost: 17 Goals Scored: 38 Goals Conceded: 91 Goals Difference of -53 (-49 in the league) Depor finished in 10th position out of 12 teams. Not all football stats were recorded this year, but this seasons top scorer was Mike Sear with 9 goals. Chris Carr and Lewis Williams came in 2nd and 3rd. Player of the Year and Most Improved Player Awards will be revealed in the End of Season party. Depor have seen several welcomed additions to the squad this season, all of which have made a positive impact, and there are further new players also showing an interest in playing next season. There have also been several changes in management, with Frank and Chris now taking control. The team will hopefully end things on a high with a couple of close-season friendly matches coming up. It appears that several players will be escaping from Deportivo this year, but hopefully over the Summer months, a team will be put together for the clubs 8th season. End of Season Party: Friday 25th May at Aveley Football Club Arrangements by the teams new Party Ambassadors, Ant & Lewis
