BEFORE STARTING THE TEST


Please read all instructions and familiarize yourself with the test procedure. The test results will be useful only if the samples are properly collected.

PERFORMING THE TEST


Assembly: 1. Attach Plastic Mouthpiece (A) to long side of Tee-Connector (B). 2. Insert Flutter Valve (C) into bottom of Tee-Connector (B) (valve pointed outward). 3. Attach Discard Bag (D) to Tee-Connector (B) opposite the mouthpiece. 4. Insert bottom of Tee-Connector (B) into large port on Collection Bag (G). 5. Attach one closed Stopcock to small port on Collection Bag.

Sample Collection: 1. Instruct patient to exhale normally through mouthpiece until Collection Bag is filled. 2. Remove Tee-Assembly (A-D) from large port on collection bag (G). 3. Place Port Cap (E) securely onto large port on the Collection Bag (G). Analyzing Samples: 1. Attach one Stopcock to Syringe (F). 2. Insert the syringe/stopcock into the other stopcock on the collection bag. 3. Open both stopcocks and withdraw at least 20mL of sample for analysis (close both stopcock when finished). 4. Inject patient sample through the Patient Sample Drying Tube* into your instrument for analysis. 5. When finished, remove any remaining sample from collection bag (thru small port) before collection another sample.

* Patient samples drying tube was supplied with the instrument at the time of purchase.
