I hope that one day I will be able to work on projects just like theirs. Every day I spend here is very enlightening and I hope to bring the light hearted attitude I have found here back home to you.     Antonia, Veronica, & Giovanni To my wife, I know that you hate to see me taking a role in all of this. I just cant bring myself to sit back and watch what is happening. The church cant be allowed to commit crimes without any consequences. They are killing innocent scientist just because their views go against what the church preaches. I became involved into this conspiracy the second I started my work at the church. They had hired me as a painter and no matter how hard I tried, I couldnt forget about what I was seeing. Guards would drag men in from the street through the back doors of the church and throw them into rooms that I had never been in. I could hear faint screams coming from the hidden rooms. The more that I saw this, the more I knew that I had to become involved. I know that you want me to forget about it and let someone else fight the battle but I cant turn a blind eye. I will gather the other scientists and artist in the community to help me build a faction to expose these wrong doings. We arent the most educated or the wealthiest but that cannot stop us. We must stop at nothing to bring them down. This isnt the first time that Ive seen the church abuse its power in this time of change and progress. We are in a place in our lives where science must flourish and we must question everything that is said. Im sorry that I cant just give in and let someone else fight this battle but I know in my heart that I must do all that I can. I am a simple man but I know that I can make a difference. I can change this. I can make this right. Sincerely,
