The purpose of this piece is to show you the difference in teacher and student relationships between a small school

and a big school. In a small school, teachers get to know their students better because of the low teacher-student ratio compared to big schools. For the letter for Tyler, I included how his family wants him to do the best he can when it comes to academics. In addition, I tried to include information that a teacher would learn about their student by talking to him. I did that with talking about his time management skills and how academics and more important to him compared to athletics. I tried to make the piece longer compared to the one for Andrew since it show that his teacher has more to say about him because she know a lot about his character and who he is. For Andrews letter of recommendation, I tried to make it a bit more vague and short. I put stuff that teacher might say about a student to a parent if they really did not know much about them. I just wanted to show how in a letter of recommendation for a college or a job the person receiving the letter and reading it can tell if a teacher really know their student based on the information in the letter. That is because if the teacher did know their student it would include stuff like personal information instead of vague generalization about students.
