But First whats a control system? A control system is a device, or set of devices to manage, command, direct or regulate the behavior of other devices or system.

Is the technology that is used in order to execute the functions of a control system. It can be simple such as a switch to control the speed of a fan. Or complex as the instrumentation panels used to control various processes in a production plant

Why do we need Control technology ??? Answer:
Better functioning of the production plant when automation is used. Synchronisation of various sections can be achieved. Reduced errors and faster,easier error detection. Reduced man power. Example: a automated water bottling plant.

As the name suggests Process automation deals with automatic functioning of the different processes in a production plant. Technological advancements in process monitoring, control and industrial automation over the past decades have contributed greatly to improve the productivity of virtually all manufacturing industries throughout the world.
