Dental caries is one of the teeth and mouth disease is a close relation to patterns of care and the consumption of cariogenic food or drink. Cariogenic foods are foods that are sticky on the teeth like taffy (candy) and chocolate (Besford, 1996Cariogenic food consumption data at risk (88%) and no-risk category (12%). tooth brushing habits most respondents are in the habit of brushing teeth at risk category (90%) and no-risk category (10%). Based on the results of these studies there is a relationship between the consumption of cariogenic foods and tooth brushing habits with the incidence of dental caries disease eldest (Sumarti, 2007). Based on this needs to be a pattern of good dental care, including the examination of your teeth regularly, brushing teeth (oral hygiene), provision of fluoride, reduced sweet foods and beverages. Based on the data that has been obtained from the Health Office of Semarang in 2009 found the data that the disease dental caries amount 14.88% or 1060 people from 7123 people. Based on observations performed at 102 students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Mangunharjo obtained student data that has cavities of 84 children or 82.3%. The purpose of research to find Dental Care Patterns relationship with the incidence of dental caries In Elementary School Children At-Madrasah Mangunharjo Southern District of Semarang TembalangMethod of cross-sectional study by giving questionnaires and observation. The sample in this study sampling was taken completely by taking the entire population of school children who are in MI Mangunharjo Tembalang District South Semarang. The test statistic used chi-squart if eligible and as an alternative test is Kolmogorov-Smirnov. The results largely on the pattern of dental care is of 70 respondents (61.9%), while the incidence of dental caries of 96 respondents (85%) are dental caries. The results of data analysis the relationship patterns of dental care with dental caries there is significant relationship indicated by the results of the P-Value = 0.000 <0.05.
