EXPERIMENT NO.

AIM- Design positive clamper by using Multisim software. SOFTWARE REQUIRED- MULTISIM SOFTWARE (MULTISIM 2009) THEORY1. DEFINITION OF CIRCUIT: A clamper is an electronic circuit that prevents a signal from exceeding a certain defined magnitude by shifting its DC value. The clamper does not restrict the peak-to-peak excursion of the signal, but moves it up or down by a fixed value. 2. CIRCUIT DIAGRAM:

PROCEDURE1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. On the toolbar select place/component. The Select a Component window appears. In the Group: window selects Basic. From this list, choose Diodes. Select diode IN4007. Select a capacitor of 4.7mF. Select a battery of 9V and place it on Multisim window. Similarly, place AC Source and adjust its peak value to 20V. Select Simulate/Instrument and place oscilloscope XSC1. Now wire the components as shown in circuit diagram. 8. Select Simulate/Run. Double click oscilloscope and scale to get visible results. RESULT- The working of clamper circuit has been analysed.
