Guidance programme is concerned with identifying students abilities, aptitudes, interests and attitudes to help them understand , accept and utilize the traits the students have.

Help new comers to get acquainted with the institution in order to adjust himself in the new

environment.

CONCLUSION
Orientation programme is necessary for students and should be organized to cater the needs of

students at all levels. Guidance counsellor cannot


work in isolation. He need co-operation from parents, teachers, principals and the community.

Orientation may be done through talk, discussions etc. Children should be provided orientation about the school, facilities available in

the school and any other information that could


be useful for them. Thus orientation services

serves as a bridge between the home and school.
