I have observed and worked closely with Matt who has been my student teacher for the past 4 months. He has helped plan and create lessons as well as share the latest technology for use in the classroom. Matt is very hands on and will sit down and work with groups of students or an individual student one on one. He has a great rapport with all of my classes and students respect him and are very engaged in all of his lessons. Matts lessons are well thought out and provide a variety of activities that appeal to all students. He has brought in an array of materials and visuals to capture the students attention. He has planned creative labs that were well structured and engaging for every student. He has created appealing visual presentations through a variety of software. He has a high knowledge of science content and more importantly has the ability to convey that information to the students. Matt is successful in getting students excited about science and learning. Matts knowledge of technology would also make him a valuable resource at any school site. He has fixed my computers several times and has introduced me to several software programs to use with my students. I am sure that when Matt becomes a full time teacher, his classroom will be cutting edge as far a technology is concerned. His knowledge of technology is definitely higher than the average teacher.
