Meeting Notes (6/29/11 10am part 2)

I. Intake Discussion
A. Changes in intakes
1. All online, no more paper for intakes. 2. Complaints have come up about people not being seen fast enough.

B. Problems with changes

1. Identity theft without proof of identity on file. 2. Keeping track of guests.

II. Bus Passes

A. Bus passes will only be issued for 9am & 1pm
1. Process and requirements remain the same

B. The amount of bus passes used per week is also being decimated
1. Each section has only 50 passes a week. 2. Restrictions on guidelines are going to be enforced much more strictly.

III. Assurance Wireless

A. Case managers are still (for now) in charge of applications.
1. See Mr. Howard for the cover letters and bed numbers. 2. Ideas a) Spreadsheet for keeping track of applicants for easy communication.

IV. Financial Assistance

A. DSS is no longer providing financial assistance
1. The Salvation Army is taking charge of financial assistance. a) Salvation Army will be taking the first 5 people beginning at 5am every day. 2. There is a sheet on the wall explaining the situation.

V. Copies
A. Jenny will be in charge of making mass copies from now on.
1. This applies to Intake and Case Management packets, NOT ID or single case copies.

VI. Housing Appointments

A. To make appointments with housing:
1. Give the guest the housing office number, and they will be in charge of making their own appointment. 2. Emergency cases can be presented to the housing office immediately.
