These are some of the non-negotiable at Bertie Middle School. When administrators enter your room, they will be looking for these best practices. (x ) Student Friendly Objectives (Today, I will.)--Objectives were posted (x ) Word Wall (if you are not teaching vocabulary, then you are not fully teaching your content) *Content relevant--I have noticed you do a lot w/ vocabulary. You do a great job in constantly checking the students for their understanding of vocabulary. ( x) Rubric (x ) Student Work (updated regularly Septembers work should not be posted in November) *You do a great job in displaying students workalso you do a great job implementing students work in a variety of ways. ( x) Student Engagement Great Job keeping the students involved constantlyStudents were engaged in lesson and constantly checking their understanding. I wish you could share with others so that they could benefit from the way you work with all of your students. (x ) Use of Technology Please be sure to utilize all resources that are available to you (i.e. Technology, Renaissance Learning, etc.) *Great usage of Music that went with the writing activity and genre being taught.
