The document discusses how to identify and determine the size of tables used to populate an extractor from an SAP R/3 system. Transactions RSA2, RSO2, and DB02 can be used to identify source tables for extractors and get the record length, number of records, and existing table size to estimate sizing requirements.

I am trying to ascertain what tables/views are used to populate an extractor.
I need to get the size of the underlying tables on R/3. >
RSA2 & RSO2 transactions can be used in source systems to identify the source tables used in the datasources to extract data. Once you identify the table, use SE14 to get the length of the record and based on number of records to be stored in the table, you can do the sizing. Transaction DB02 can be used to get the size of existing table with data.
