Museum of Science and Industry

The Museum of Science and Industry is the only building remaining from the 1893 Worlds Fair. There are so many exhibits that it takes

four to five hours to see it all. Sizes of exhibits range from automated manufacturing of a small toy top to a full-size 747.

Chicago in miniature is amazing in detail and scale.

The Silver Streak Pioneer Zephyr is open for inspection.

Full size airplanes hang high above the gallery. Thats a 747 in the background.

The column of steam in the rear is a simulated tornado.

Marilyn Monroe Dwarfs Visitors

This 26 foot statue of the Blond Bombshell by J. Seward Johnson was installed in July, 2011. The pose is the classic one from the 1955 movie, Seven Year Itch.

Chicagos Navy Pier is a Family Fun Place

The stained glass photo is one of more than 200 in the collection on display on the pier. Kids love the mirrors and rides and the domed garden is a peaceful place to rest.
