    Historic Route 66 stretches from Chicago, Illinois to Santa Monica, California. Bob and Joan traveled different parts of Route 66 from St. Louis to Santa Monica. This trip covered the Mother Road from Chicago to St. Louis.

    The signs depend on whether youre going or coming.

    Joliet Prison opened in 1858 and closed in 2002. The cloudy day added to the melancholy of the The Blues Brothers movie featured Joliet when place. The only color was in the gas pump in the the fictional Jake Blues was released. parking lot.
