Firefighter/Paramedic Internship Positions

The Oregon Area Fire & EMS District is currently recruiting for new positions in their Internship program. If you are interested in becoming a Firefighter / Paramedic, the Oregon Area Fire/EMS District is offering one of the best opportunities to do so. As it becomes harder to obtain a career position in the fire service, having not only Fire Fighting skills, but also EMS skills, becomes crucial. The Oregon Area Fire/EMS District offers the opportunity to become a well-rounded Firefighter and EMT-P through education and experience.

3 Year Internship Program earning, but not limited to:


Associate Degree in Fire Service. National Registry Certified Basic Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Level. 3 years of knowledge and experience working under the guidance of Full-Time and Paid on Call staff. Other opportunities of education regarding Fire and EMS including but not limited to classes, seminars and other educational opportunities.

Interns are provided with:


Living quarters at the fire station. Paramedic training paid in full. State Certified Firefighter I & II, Driver Operator, and Fire Inspector paid in full. A monthly stipend.
$750 per semester tuition reimbursement for associates degree program.

Internship Requirements:
High School Diploma & Transcripts (excellent grades). Physically able to perform the job duties. Medical evaluation by MD. Campus Reading placement Test. Assessment Center Evaluation.
