    Honors Celebration of Writing

    Please join the Honors Program and the Writing Program as we celebrate writing and research with Honors students! This special event will feature keynote speaker Mark Obmascik, a best-selling author and journalist who often writes about his adventures in mountaineering and bird watching. Obmasciks writing about the Columbine tragedy won a Pulitzer Prize and the National Press Club has recognized him with an award for environmental journalism. In 2011, his book about cutthroat competitive bird watching, The Big Year, was released as a comedy film starring Jack Black, Owen Wilson, and Steve Martin.
