Case study Analysis on Cocoberry

1. Examine & state the main features of the case? The case is all about the grand strategy followed by the CEO of Cocoberry which is as follows Firstly the Company is in Caf Business which has various Outlets Across India. They want to Extend the business by Packed food or Frozen Foods. Bhalla , CEO & Founder of the Cocoberry claims business has grown over 300% in last two years& the expected Turn Over may be 10-12 Crores The Vision of the Company is to have more than 150 Outlets with 120 Crores profit Regulation of Environment is one of the serious issue, because it is to be abided by various state regulations, Acts etc. Attraction of new extension of product ie., Packed Food or Frozen food. The CEO of the Company have the Extension of Primary Function ie., Home Delivery, Catering, & Corporate cafeteria which adds value to the Organization. 2. What kind of grand strategy is Cocoberry planning? Do you think it is the right strategy? If not, why? The CoCobery is using Alternative Grand strategy according to which it is more on Alternative Strategy: Markets: The Company is concentrating on Geographical Expansion ie., it has expanding its business Extending its Primary Function of Caf.

 Function: In Functional Strategy the Company is Adopted the concept of Optimized Existing Capacity. Example Additional Service of Home delivery & Catering.

3. If you were in Mr. Bhallas place, what grand strategy would you have adopted for Cocoberry? What steps will you need to take to implement it successfully? If I would have been in the place of Mr. Bhalla I would have adopted the following strategy Alternative strategy: That is in case of Product I would introduce or innovate new products like Food & Beverage. In case of Markets: I would like to start from scratch, that is expanding business geographically across the borders of the state & later on expand its operations across the Country. In Case of Function: I would I would go for forward integration. That is providing additional services like Free Home delivery with in 10 KM Radius of Operations.
