Adidas is German multinational sporting goods, in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The company originally called" Gebrder Dassler Schuhfabrik" was founded by Adolf (Adi) Dassler, in the early 1920's with the help of his brother Rudolf Dassler. But Ruddi and Adi were troubled by what Rudi founded his own factory, PUMA. And Adi Dassler took control of the company and changed its name to "adidas". The company name comes from the name of its founder,"Adi" is short for Adolf, and "das" the first syllable of the last name".
