What can I design to make pedestrians more aware that the act of walking should serve as a way to improve their lives, rather than only a function of transport? What types of disruptions would encourage users to interact with the environment and enhance their day in a positive way?
If sidewalks
were used to instigate an intentional interaction by repurposing unused urban landscape for ephemeral experiences it will slow pedestrians down and initiate a break in their routine.
Pedestrians
in NYC want to take moments out of their busy
work day
THANK YOU.
