CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS Participants from sporting groups and individuals in the Ashford Area who want to take

part in a unique site-specific performance in Kings Wood forest as part of the Cultural Olympiad, Marks, Measures, Maps and Mind. Dog Kennel Hill Project with Stour Valley Arts and South East Dance are seeking sports enthusiasts and athletes from various disciplines to be formed into a team of performers for an exciting project happening in July and August 2012. We are looking for people who might see themselves in one of two categories: GROUP 1 In particular we are looking for sports people who practice warm-ups and training routines that build to a specialist kind of fitness, alignment or accuracy. You might be a gymnast, boxer, martial artist, yoga practitioner or dancer. GROUP 2 In particular we are looking for sports people who seeing landscapes and architecture as a possibility for new challenges to cover new ground. You could be a trackbiker, cyclist, free-runner, skate-boarder or horse-rider. We would like to bring both groups together to share their skills and routines so that we can present these as visual movement and dance elements as part of a performance in Kings Wood forest.
