That the Avfiant, Sergeant William Bundy, badge #103, is a sworn member of the Connecticut State Police, having been 0 employed since May 1994, That prior, Affiant Bundy was a regular member of the Norwich Police Department from 1985 to 1994, That Affiant Bundy is currently assigned to the Eastern District Major Crime Squad Detective Unit at Troop E in Montville, Connecticut and currently holds the rank of Sergeant. That A\fiant Bundy has responsibilities to include, but not limited to, addressing complaints regarding criminal activity in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes and hhas investigated and supervised the numerous cases as set forth below. That Affiant Bundy has also received formal training regarding the laws of arrest and laws pertaining to Search and Seizure from The Connecticut State Police Academy and has received specialized training in various areas of investigation, That during the course of A{fiant Bundy's career, Affiant ‘Bundy has conducted numerous investigations that have ultimately resuited in the arcest and conviction of the involved parties. That Afiant Bundy at all pertinent times mentioned herein was acting in his official capacity as such, That the ‘Affiant has personal knowledge of the facts and circumstances stated hereinafter as a result ofthe A fiant’s own investigative efforis, as well as, the investigative efforts of fellow officers who have reported their findings to the Affiant, 2. That on March 21, 2011 fiant Bundy was assigned to initiate « criminal investigation involving a theft from the East Haven Police Department. The theft occurred during the timé frame of March 12, 2011 and March 17, 2011 and included ‘cash missingstolen from the locked evidence/narcotic room at the East Haven Police Department. As part of the preliminary information, Affiant Bumdy was informed that the East Haven Police Department's Deputy Chief was the complainant inthis investigation, 3. ‘That on March 22 at approximately 0900 hours, Affiant Bundy met with and interviewed Deputy Chief John Mannion of the Bast Haven Police Department, In this interview, Deputy Chief Mannion stated among things that on March 12, 2011 an officer from the East Haven Police during the evening shift condueted a motor vehicle stop in their town and as a result three (3) subjects were taken into custody on narcotic related charges. During the course of the arrest, the arresting officer, identified as Dennis Spaulding, seized items of evidence to inctude a motor vehicle, a quantity of marijuana and cash. That all of the items seized were packaged and entered into evidence.
