Table 1. Data experiment part A.

The theoretical value is based on the formula of hydrostatics pressure;

Where is the density of water which is 1000 kg/m3, g is the gravity acceleration which is
9.81m/s and h is the height of the air column.
2

By applying the same formula to all the height that we have tested, we will get the theoretical value of
the hydrostatics pressure.
For

h =5cm

5m x 10-2 = 0.05 m
Since 1 bar= 10-2Pa

= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.05 m

= 490.5 Pa @ 4.91 mBar

For h=0.10
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.10m
= 981Pa @ 9.81 mBar
For h=0.15
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.15 m
= 1471.5 Pa @ 14.72 mBar
For h=0.20
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.20
= 1962 Pa @ 19.62 mBar

For h=0.25
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.25 m
= 2452.5 Pa @ 24.53 mBar
For h=0.30
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.30 m
= 2943 Pa @ 29.43 mBar
For h=0.35
= 1000 kg/m3 x 9.81 m/s2 x 0.35 m
= 3433.5 Pa @ 34.34 mBar
