Hannah Mills from Great Britain was born on February 29, 1988.

She began sailing at the age of eight years old. At a very young age she was already attracting attention from the national team selectors. By age 13, in 2002, Mills became the Girls World Champion and over the course of the next two years she gained two junior European titles. In 2006, Mills won the 420 Class Womens World Championship title. Because of all the accomplishments Mills has achieved, she was able to land herself into bigger leagues such as the Olympic 470 Class, making a name for herself as one to be on the lookout for the London 2012 Olympics. Among finding out she had been selected for the 2012 London Olympics, what happened shortly afterwards struck Mill as quite a surprise.
