Improving the recruitment process through ontology-based querying: In these technique data will be exchange between employers, applicants

and job portals is based on a set of vocabularies which provide shared terms to describe occupations, industrial sectors and job skills [MPB06]. In this context, the first step towards the realization of the Semantic Web e-Recruitment scenario was the creation of human resources ontology (HR-ontology).

Organizational Development Interventions like training and leadership development; performance management processes with a focus on developmental action plan, are some of the measures companies taken to retain talent. Further, employee engagement activities like surveys, feedback exchange, work-life balance, reward and recognition programs, including talent mapping for future leaders, motivational training programs and workshops, are other ways to retain talent.

To Align the HR Strategy with Business Strategy HR Professional must do:


1. HR professionals must spend more time and effort understanding the

business environment and the key strategic issues faced by the company.
2. HR professionals must get more involved in the nitty-grittys of the

business, i.e., in operational details and issues.


3. HR professionals must see themselves as knowledge workers and

facilitators of knowledge flows within the organization.


4. HR professionals need to change from a support paradigm to a value

creation paradigm.
