End of the year Party!
On Thursday (7), the second to last day of school, we will be celebrating the wonderful year we have spent with each other. I have grown to love each and every student in my class. Everyone has his or her own unique personality that has helped make our classroom, ours! I am asking, if you are able, to donate $2 to help fund the pizza that we will be eating. I will provide pop, snacks, candy, etc. You may send the money with your child next week. If you are unable to donate, please dont worry and feel obligated. Thank you!

Writing and Spelling

To practice our spelling words and our writing, We played musical spelling stories. We started off writing the beginning of our own story using one spelling word. Then we played musical chairs and sat down at a new desk. We then continued the previous story at the new desk incorporating a new spelling word. We continued on until five different people had written one story. We have been reading them in class. The students have done an excellent job using their spelling words, spelling them correctly, and using proper grammar in their writing. Many of the stories are funny and we have been laughing during each one. Everyones story will come home next week for you to enjoy as well.

Healthy Husky Day We had a great time at Healthy Husky Day yesterday. The weather stayed nice, we stayed active, and the teachers won tug-of-war! Check out the blog Silva-3rdgrade.blogspot.com for pictures and more class news!
