Abstract
Global warming & depleting natural resources are alarming crisis in todays situations. Passive design strategies, building simulation software, building rating systems & energy efficient equipment define todays sustainable & green buildings. Human comfort is based on adaptation to surroundings. Achieving comfort is also depends upon traditionally adapted lifestyle from years, to suit with the specific area. Society adapt to climate change either by technological means or by nature friendly technologies, producing minimal waste & conserving materials & energy by appropriate usage. This paper focuses on of study human attitude towards built environment to achieve comfort conditions & conservation of natural resources in construction, selection of materials, applying alternative technologies and use & functioning of the building, through following points 1. To find out different techniques that can be adapted in day to day life for conservation of natural resources. 2. To study different spaces in the campus of selected institutes in terms of uses & functions. 3. To find out ways of achieving adaptive comfort in different environments affecting conditions of comfort, & to study behavioural patterns towards resource conservation.
