CHS Rangers baseball team


They will face Cy-Ranch in the Regional Semifinals. Here is the schedule: Thursday 8:00 @ Frankie Field Friday 5:30 @ Cy Ranch HS Saturday 7:30 @ Cy Ranch HS (if needed)

NHS Members:
Seniors can purchase their graduation collars on Tuesday, May 22 or Tuesday, May 29 from Mrs. McMennamy in 1133. All active members must turn in their service hours before leaving for the summer to remain in good standing.

Golf try outs


Any boys or girls NOT currently on the golf team that are planning to try out next year, please stop by room 1522 before the end of the school year. You need to pick up information from Coach Jezek regarding tryouts and a summer program.

YEAR END PROCEDURES


May 21-25, 2012 (7 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.) Exempt students return textbooks and calculators to Upstairs Library (Science side). Both sides of the library (Math and Science Halls) will be open before and after school beginning Wednesday, May 22nd through May 31st.

END OF YEAR PROCEDURES


Final Exams May 25-31, 2012 All other textbooks and calculators will be returned during the exam period. Textbooks and calculators will be collected during final exams by student workers. Students can also turn in textbooks before and after school in the Upstairs Library (Math and Science Hall sides)

DURING FINALS
Student will turn in their textbook to the teacher in the room in which they are testing. The teacher will verify the accession number, highlight the students name, and have student initial. The teacher will sign the form. The books will be stacked inside the classroom close to the door to be picked up by student volunteers. The books will be scanned and stored in the

DURING FINALS
TI83 calculators will be returned during the math final exam. Teachers will verify the calculator number, highlight the students name, and have student initial. Teachers will turn the calculator on and then off to check that it is functional. Teachers will remove the batteries and return the batteries to the student. The calculators will be picked up by student volunteers.

BOOK FINES
Fines (starting June 11, 2012) $1.00 per day per book late fee up to $20 per book. After July 25th, full price will be charged for books not returned

ABANDONED BOOKS
Locker clean out will be May 30th beginning at 9:45AM. $10 fine for books abandoned in lockers or found elsewhere in the building. A fee of 20% of the cost of the book will be charged to remove sticky residue. A fee of 50% to 100% of the cost of a book for water/other liquid damage. A fee of 100% of the cost of the book will be charged for mildew damage

All regular and remedial classes are still open. The following PreAP/AP classes are almost full: Govt., Eco., Pre-Calc. and Chem. Check with your counselor if you think you need (or want) to go to summer school. Your counselor must approve the course you want to take and sign the form, which will be turned into the registrar. The registrar will then update your information in the system so that you can register for classes. Remember that year-long averaging is in effect. If you fail one semester of a year-long course, you MUST re-take that semester in summer school; otherwise, you will have to re-take the entire class next year! Make sure you select your classes when you go online; then PAY for the class. You arent officially registered for the class until you pay for it. J

Download a form from our website or come to the Commons Office to pick up a copy from Mrs. Schrock. See your counselor for approval/signature. See the Registrar (Mrs. Root or Mrs. Brown) for online registration. Pay for the course at the FBISD Administration Building or online via Family Access.

Washington trip???
Mrs. Harrison is taking a group of students to Washington for the inauguration next January. You can pick up brochures and information from her in 1314.

FRIDAY EXAM PROCEDURES


Schedule of Events Day/Date Exam Details Friday, May 25, 2012 6th Period Exam Students exempt from 6th period exam will leave school at 12:30. Please report to the Commons at 12:30 to sign the Exemption Sheet before leaving. Students with off campus 6th period do not need to sign out.

TUES. EXAM PROCEDURES

Tuesday, May 29, 2012 2nd Period Exam & 4th Period Exam Students exempt from 2nd and 4th must report to the Commons at 9:00 to sign the Exemption Sheet. Exempt students may leave after signing in.

WED. EXAM PROCEDURES


Wednesday, May 30, 2012 3rd Period Exam 5th Period Exam EARLY DISMISSAL AT 11:45AM Lunch will not be served at school.

WED. EXAM PROCEDURES


JUNIORS who are exempt from 3rd and 5th must report to the Girls Gym at 8:30 to sign the Exemption Sheet. After announcements, students will be dismissed. SENIORS who are exempt from 3rd and 5th must report to the Auditorium at 8:30 for a mandatory graduation information assembly. Students will also pick up their cap and gown. The Exemption Sheet will be signed upon entering the auditorium. Seniors who are taking finals during 3rd and/or 5th should report to the auditorium after their final exam(s) to pick up graduation information and cap/gown.

Thursday, May 31, 2012 1st Period Exam & 7th Period Exam EARLY DISMISSAL AT 11:45AM Lunch will not be served at school.
