ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We the members of group 5 would like to thank our Biology Teacher , who gave us an opportunity to do a seminar on the topic DAMS. Next we would like to thank other group members to co-operate with us. And also its our immense pleasure to thank our respectful parents who helped us to prepare this report.

DISCUSSION POINTS
The importance of conserving rain water. Importance of dams. Advantages and disadvantages of dams. Working of dams. The recent Mullaperiyar issue.

SUMMARY
The main aim behind our seminar is to make our friends understand the importance of conserving water and also about the way to preserve water by constructing dams. We want to make them aware about the recent Mullaperiyar dam issue.

We would also like to make our friends clear about the working of dams, different methods of irrigation facilities in our Country and the advantages and the disadvantages of dams. Materials used: We took the help of our class x NCERT textbook to do our seminar. We also took the help of a power point presentation and a chart.

All the group members participated actively for the seminar. Each member had a part to do, which they did well. All had given their share of ideas and innovations.

Most of the references were done from the class x NCERT textbook. We also took the help of Google service and news papers.
