science: cancer cell

Magdalena Karbowska CGA&A Year1

Early designs were sharing more similarities with an actual cell than the final design. However from the beggining to the end I was making the designs simplem making them look like one of amny, the same as an actual cell.

When I finnaly got a design which I liked, I got to experiment with it. Making different parts shortened, elongated just to find out if it fit's the overall image of the creature.

Top: design no.1 (no nucleus, fingers/claws and short tail) Right: design no.2 (long ears, introduction of claws and nucleus)

Two later designs, I have imagined how I would like my final design to look like, and those two (the one below and on the right) were scratched pretty fast. The details in the ears and single tail didn't appear in any of the later designs.

The end result is a sea like creature.

Concept art

Renders: work in progress Creating basic shapes, and forming a simplified version of the cell, and then adding more detail.

Even sky was painted on to add an unique feeling to the scene.
