ThevenueforcounsellingwillbeatVITUniversityVelloreCampusandChennaiCampusinTamilNadu. MultiCity Counselling will be held simultaneously both in Vellore and Chennai. Candidates can attend counseling in Vellore OR Chennai and choose the branch offered / available in Vellore OR Chennai campus.

Candidates presence at the time of counselling is mandatory, no one else would be allowed to participateincounsellingonbehalfofthecandidate. TheRegistrationwillbeginat8.00amandoverby9.30am.Thecounsellingwillbegin,immediatelyafter theregistration.

Candidatesreportingafter10.30a.m.wouldbeallowedtoattendcounsellingintheafternoonsession only.

Ifacandidatereportsafter2.30p.m.,he/shewouldbeallowedtoparticipateonlyonthenextdayof counselling.

The Counselling process may extend upto late evening, students / parents are requested to plan their travel accordingly. Parentsshouldaccompanytheirwardatthetimeofcounselling. Verification of documents pertaining to age, mark sheet of the qualifying examination, community, nativity (ifapplicable)andothereligibilitycriteriawill befirstdonebeforethecandidate is allowedto participateinthecounselling.

Nochangeofdate/timeofcounsellingispermissible.Ifacandidatefailstoappearforcounsellingon thedateandtimespecified,his/herseatwillbeofferedtothenextcandidateintheorderofmerit.

However,duetounforeseenreasons,ifacandidateisunabletoattendcounsellingonthespecifieddate and time, he / she can attend on a subsequent date / time, after duly intimating the office. The candidatecanonlyoptforthebranchavailableatthattimeandcannotclaimanyotherbranchasperhis /heroriginalturnorseniority.

After counselling for a particular day is over, the number of seats (branch wise) still available for allotmentonthenextdayofcounselling,willbepublishedinourwebsiteandalsobedisplayedonthe noticeboardoftheuniversityforthebenefitofcandidates.

 Ifthemarksstatementofthequalifyingexamhasnotbeenreceivedbeforethedateofcounselling,the candidate should furnish an undertaking stating that if he / she fails to qualify as per the Eligibility norms,he/shewillforfeittheseatallotted.

A candidate should decide for certain on whether he / she should join the programme based on the branchallottedtohim/heratthetimeofcounsellingbeforethepaymentofthefee.

Allotmentofbranchoncemadeisfinalandcannotbechangedunderanycircumstances.

MorethantherequirednumbersofcandidateshavebeeninvitedfortheVITEEE2012Counsellingfor admissiontoB.Tech.DegreeProgrammes.Therefore,itisnotguaranteedthateverybodyreportingfor counsellingwillbesureofgettingaseatinB.Tech.Programmes. The fact that candidate has qualified in the VITEEE2012 and has been called for counselling does not guarantee admission to him / her. This will depend on the candidates All India Rank in the entrance examinationandupontheavailabilityofaseatinthecampusoftheirchoice, whentheirturncomes. Candidates willingtopaythe balancefeeonthe samedayofcounselling,cando so withthe required documentsasspecifiedintheinformationbrochure. GETTINGTOVIT,VELLORECAMPUS

TheVIT campus is locatedona 300 acresiteonthe RanipetKatpadi Road. It is 2hoursdrive from Chennai (Formerly Madras) by Road and 4 hours from Bangalore (considered the silicon valley of India). Boththecitiesarewellconnectedbyroad,railandairrouteswithallpartsofthecountryandalsohave internationalairports.

TheairportnearesttoVelloreisinChennai.Fromtheairport,youcangotothebusstandatKoyambedu or to the Central Railway Station to take a bus or train to Vellore. Train and bus services to Vellore are frequent, cheap and quite satisfactory. Either journey takes about 2 hours. If you choose to travel by train,youshouldbuyyourtickettoKatpadiRailwayStationwhichisjust2kmawayfromVIT.Busesfrom Chennai will bringyou righttothecentreofthetown ofVellorefromwhere you can reachVIT which is about5kmfromthebusstand. TRANSPORTATIONINVELLORE
