(1) I have been in the church all my life, and in a sense it has become apart of me. My family has always been very involved in the church, with a father as a pastor, grandpa as a deacon, mother and aunts as singers I am deeply rooted. I also am a liturgical dancer. When I was younger church was just church, I went because I had no choice. I learned in Sunday school because I had no choice but to learn. But the older I got the more I realized that just going to church was not getting it. I could no longer feed off of my parents relationship with Christ and I had to find my own. There were alot of things in life I needed understanding of; like death. Why does it happen, and how can I achieve Life after Death.

While on my pursuit to learn and understand these things, I was informed about my soul, and the spirit. How it was different then my flesh and body. There was a bigger reason behind it, your soul is really who you are, how you react and how you deal with lifes struggles. Instead of being concerned with my outward body I became focused on the inside. My character, the way I choose to handle things, the way I act towards others. In a sense I was indeed saving, my soul. Some people become to far gone and cant figure out how to turn back, but I believe I made the cut just in time.

THE FAMILY AFFAIR>> (1)During the 2009-10 Watch night service at Greater Faith Church Nycea Patterson sings during praise and worship along side of Tisha Holt, leading the song. (2) Marsha Patterson, Nycea Pattersons mother leads a song during the Praise and worship part ot the service, singing the song, Jesus Your my Everything. (3) Thomas Patterson, Nycea Pattersons father enjoys the service while looking out towards the crowd.
