    The crew compartment of Alvin is a sealed seven foot titanium sphere. jammed with equipment and three uncomfortable humans.

    Alvin is a tried and trusted design. It has mapped undersea mountains, located a lost Hbomb and now is poised over the most celebrated shipwreck of modern tines.

    Once launched. Alvin is independent of its mother ship. The crew can communicate with the surface, but in the deep they are so far from help they night as well be on the moon.
