FORMATION

Many adverbs are made from an adjective + ly. huge - hugely social - socially possible - possible ( le-ly) easy - easily ( y- ily) But adverbs do not always have this ending. These are also adverbs: well, fast, hard, late, just, always, often, then, never, ever, already, outside, inside, yesterday, today, tomorrow, soon, now, yet, still, sometimes, also, too, once, again, even, very, quite, a bit, a little, much, rather, enough.

USE
An adverb tells us more about the verb. E.g. She always drives carefully

We can use adverbs before adjectives, other adverbs and past participles. E.g. The film was extremely good. You did it incredibly quickly.

Adverbs can be placed: at the beginning of a sentence. E.g. Normally I go to school by bus.
