Chapter 6 IMPLEMENTATION VIEW OF THE SYSTEM

Component View Component diagram represents the implementation and deployment of a certain system. It is used to illustrate the dependencies between various software components, such as the dependency between executable files and source files. It also contains right components, interfaces and relationships. A component represents a software entity in a system, which includes source code files, program table, documents and resource files.

Deployment View The UML deployment diagram depicts the static view of the run-time configuration of hardware nodes and software components that run on those nodes. Deployment diagram shows the hardware of a system, the software that is installed on that hardware, and middleware used to connect the disparate machines to one another. It also symbolizes the physical architecture of an automated system. It can depict the computers and device, show their connections with one another, and show the software that sits on each machine. A cube represents each computer, with interconnection between computers as lines connecting the cubes.
