On Wednesday 30th May 2012 a series of incidents involving several males took place between the hours 7.

10pm and 0100am in the following locations: Pilsworth Road, Bury Street, Derby Street, Mason Street, Whalley Road, Lewis Drive, Lochawe Close These incidents resulted in some of these males sustaining injuries, they are not life threatening but we are seeking information to assist our investigation. There were a number of vehicles involved which are: A Blue Ford Mondeo, a Blue Mercedes E220, a Silver Vauxhall Zafira, a White Ford Escort Van. Officers have made 3 arrests so far in connection with the incidents and enquiries will continue. Heywood Neighbourhood Inspector Steve Clarke said: I would like to assure the local community that officers have been in the area conducting enquiries and have been on hand to address any concerns. Reassurance patrols will continue for the foreseeable future and would urge anybody with information in relation to these incidents to come forward.
