2. Ecology Education
By learning ecology, we learn how nature properly works. The major goal of this workshop is to give K-12 teachers a solid foundation in basic ecological concepts and scientific inquiry skills in order to effectively teach ecology.
3. Aquatic Ecology
This workshop focuses on educating teachers on how to become familiar and comfortable with utilizing aquatic ecosystems for ecological and environmental learning. The knowledge and skills learned can be effectively applied to any local stream, river, pond, lake, marsh or swamp.
4. Biodiversity Education
This workshop helps teachers to understand how they can implement an effective unit of study on nature's diversity of life so students can appreciate and understand major identification characteristics, survival needs and adaptations.
7. Environmental Education
This workshop will instruct teachers how they can
implement environmental education into their curriculum, either as a separate unit or infused into their existing instruction. Teachers will learn how they can build in their students an awareness and appreciation of the wonders of the living world and an understanding of how nature works so that they can improve their quality of life and that of those around them.
