    The ing form can be used like a NOUN, like an adjective or like a verb.

    El uso de la forma -ing puede ser usada como un sustantivo, un adjetivo o un verbo.

    To transform a verb into a noun:

    En los verbos que acaban en e, esta desaparece al aadir la terminacin -ing: write > writing En los verbos de una sola slaba formados por consonante-vocal-consonante (slaba cerrada), la ltima consonante se dobla al aadir la terminacin -ing: run > running Cuando aadimos la terminacin -ing a verbos que acaban en w, x, y, estas no se doblan: fix > fixing blow > blowing play > playing
