LEARNERSHIPS PROJECT

The City of City of Cape Town Municipality, in partnership with the Local Government SETA, would like to invite interested people to participate in learnership programmes, scheduled to start in August 2012. Learners will receive an allowance of R2 480 per month
Applicants may choose to participate in one of the following learnership opportunities. (A total of 230 opportunities will be created): LEARNERSHIP OUTCOME FETC: Archives & Records Management FETC: Disaster Risk Management NC: Contact Centre Support NC: Construction Road-works level 2 NC: Early Childhood Development NC: Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Operations FETC: Lifeguarding REQUIREMENTS Senior Certificate (Grade 12) Proficient in English Numeracy skills and strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to swim 100 m in 2 minutes


First Aid Level 1 Communication and numeracy skills

NC: Geographical Information Sciences

Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or technical equivalent Proficient in Numeracy including Mathematics Proficient in Communication including writing of technical reports Two years GIS related experience Senior Certificate (Grade 12), Accounting or Maths with 50% pass, Proficient in English Numeracy skills Diploma: Real Estate NQF Level 5, Proficient in English Numeracy skills Senior Certificate (Grade 12) Diploma: Tourism NQF level 5 Proficient on English Senior Certificate (Grade 12) Diploma: Tourism NQF level 5 Math literacy Proficient on English Two years relevant experience

NC: Payroll and Administration Services

ND: Real Estate Property Marketing, Practice and Valuation

Advanced Diploma: Tourism Management

ND : Architectural Technology

NC: Project Management Support Services

Senior Certificate (Grade 12) Two years project support experience Proficient on English

TARGET GROUP : Unemployed people from the communities of Cape Town. NOTE: People With Disabilities will be given preference.
