Project Description
This project is based on a joint project that was done by BBC Radio 4 and the British Museum called A History of the World in 100 Objects. In this project, objects of ancient art, industry, technology, and arms were used not as symbols of historical moments but rather as fundamental agents in the development of human history. For example, rather than identify Charles Darwin as a prominent gure or the development of evolutionary theory as zeniths in historical narratives, this project identied the chronometer -- a measurement instrument used to guide Darwins journey. This practice serves to bring the agency and impact of objects in our lives to the fore, and challenges us to think about our own personal histories or narratives through a much different lens.

Objectives i) Engage in critical reection of experiences. ii) Use multi-modality as a form of expression. iii) Write in a narrative style. Conventions i) Tone: Narrative. ii) Audience: Someone you want to hear your story. iii) Format: Multimodal memoir (see page sequence below).

The narrative will include images of ve (5) objects (real or simulated) that represent critical periods in your narrative. The narrative must transition seamlessly from object to object, to the extent that while each object has its own standalone signicance in your life there is a general, chronological theme of development across the objects. Final narratives must be uploaded to My Reviewers by Saturday, August 4th, by 11:59pm.
