During Surgery: 1)Attend to the need of scrub nurse in the sterile.(Sutures,sterile water,warm saline and sponges enough towels or drape). 2)Keep the floor clean of sponges during procedure. 3)Keep track of the sponges count,needle count peanut etc. given to the nurse on the sterile field during procedure. 4)Collect sort and count sponges carefully as they came and stock in the file for the final count. 5)See to it that the health teams in the sterile field keep antiseptics technique. 6)Be alert and attentive at all times and anticipate the needs of the scrub nurse,the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. 7)For C-section,take note of the time when the baby and placenta are out,sex and ask pediatrician of the babys APGAR score. 8)Keep instrument and pack wrappers neatly folded with name outside. After Surgery: 1)Completed Record: a)Clarify post-operative orders. b)Let anesthesiologist complete anesthesiologist record including medicines and anesthesia agents. c)Ask surgeon about post-operative diagnosis,surgery done. d)Let surgeon sign if specimen is given to the patient or sent to the laboratory. 2)Direct and help transport the patient from OR table to the recovery room. 3)Accompany patient to RR and brief the RR nurse on the surgey performed.Endorse important items. 4)Fix room and get ready to receive the next case.
