ACID METHOD

Size of PCB can be Etched:

Note:
The chemicals used in this method are highly Concentrated, please make sure that you take proper precautions. Secure your hands by wearing Gloves.

FERRIC METHOD

Ferric Chloride (FeCl2) Water (H2O) Note:

100gm 250ml

This method is suitable for Student use only, but not sufficient for Industrial level. In Production Acid Method is Preferred.

CHEMICALS FOR CLEANING PCB

After Etching one will need to remove the marker or ink from Copper side of PCB there are two ways to do it: 1. 2. Acetone, Butyl, Sprit, Thinner, Xylol or Alcohol are applied by Cotton on Copper layer to remove Ink from it.[For Ferric Method] Potassium Cyanide K2Cn [ 150gm] dissolve it in One Litre of Water, now place PCB in solution for just 1-2 min, wash it gently with water there you go -- PCB is ready to use!

After some time Youll notice that Copper starts to remove from edges:

This process continues for a while..

At the End Stage:

All done:

Take Out the PCB with help of Twizers:

This would be the result of Completely Etched PCB.

Now Place Etched PCB in Cleaning Solution for few minutes:

So, that the Marker(Toner) will be Washed Out. Wash PCB gently with Water, dry it and Solder.
