    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING


    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public hearing at the meeting indicated below to consider the following application.

    Tuesday, June 26, 2012, no earlier than 9:00 a.m.


    Hearing to consider appeal of decision by the Planning Commission granting approval of Permanente Quarry Reclamation Plan Amendment and certification of the Environmental Impact Report on property located at 24001 Stevens Creek Boulevard. Property of Hanson Permanente Cement, Inc., mine operator is Lehigh Southwest Cement Company. (File No. 2250-10P APL 10EIR APL) (Supervisorial District 5). The Reclamation Plan Amendment would amend the existing 1985 Permanente Quarry Reclamation Plan to reclaim all mined areas on the property, to comply with Surface Mine and Reclamation Act and County regulations. Lehigh is appealing the Planning Commission decision, made on June 7, 2012. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS MAY APPEAR AND BE HEARD during the public hearing in regard to the above-referenced consideration in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 70 West Hedding Street, First Floor, San Jose. Written communications should be filed with the Clerk of the Board prior to, the hearing date. IF YOU CHALLENGE THIS DECISION IN COURT, you may be limited to raising only those issues that you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors prior to, or at, the public hearing. DOCUMENTS WILL BE ON FILE in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors located on the 10th floor at the address given above, on or before the Friday preceding the hearing. THIS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING is given pursuant to the order of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors as required by the Government Code of the State of California.
