Actuarial identifies, shares its best practices on progress To (purpose of the Gallup survey), the GALLUP survey was

held last (date) among (respondents). This (no.)-item questionnaire formulated by the (formulators) deals with issues concerning (expectations, opportunities, communication and relationships in the workplace, among others). Based on this survey, the strengths in the Actuarial Department as identified by its staff are as follows: knowing what is expected from them at work, having opportunities at work for learning and growth, having someone who cares for them, and having someone talked to them about their progress. This short article then focuses on the last of these strengths, mainly on how it has been developed by the said department, since updates on progress has been shown in the survey results as (a point for improvement) for the Finance Department. In a short interview with (Ms. Avic Lim, Chief Actuarial Officer), she pointed out some of the best practices of the Actuarial Department which she deemed responsible for the high rating in the progress monitoring aspect of the department. Firstly, she emphasized the importance of getting immediate feedback from the staff to make it clear to them on how to proceed with the tasks and what to improve on. Forces/pressures you make progress and evaluate yourself your own progress 2. As compared to being asked for updates indefinitely or irregularly 3. A domino effect in the organizational structure: a supervisor requires weekly updates from his staff because the one above him also requires one from him
