LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION 27th April 2012

To whom it may concern, It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Rakesh Kumar as he has an indisputable potential and motivation for graduate studies. I have known him for close to 4 years and during his coursework I had the opportunity to closely interact with him in the many semesters that I have taught him. This has convinced me that he is very genuine in his pursuit of academic excellence. He has shown excellent capability to understand technical papers, implement those ideas and work indefatigably on his project work. His lab work was commendable and innovative ,he has great command over several programming languages and is accustomed to many operating systems. He was my student for the courses in Computer Networks ,Cryptography and Network Security and Computer Architecture, he managed to complete them with flying colours. His pragmatism and understanding of subject fundamentals , were evident when he modelled a sytem against DDoS attacks based on speak-up as part of a mini-project. When a course module required of all students to learn a server-side scripting language ,being the quick learner he his , he mastered not one but two languages well before the rest of the class. A testament to his technical know-how is the percentile score of 96% he secured in GATE-2012,a national leve exam for prospective graduate students. Rakesh is also a student of high moral standards and I am sure he will try to the best of his ability to excel in all his academic pursuits. I recommend him for graduate studies and financial assistance , it is my belief that his academic proficiency and potential will make him a leading researcher in the future.

Yours sincerely

Lecturer N.Sangeetha
