Living Thing Can Reproduce :

Living things can have young. They reproduce and multiply to ensure that their species continue to exist on earth.

Some animals give birth to their young while some lay eggs and hatch from them.

Babies are the young of human beings. Foals are the young horses. The young look very much like the adults in appearance. Tadpoles are the young of frogs. Wrigglers are the young of mosquitoes. These young look very different from adults. Some animals lay eggs in water. These eggs usually do not have shells to protect them. Plants are living things. They can reproduce. Flowering plants usually reproduce seeds. The seeds of many plants are transported by water , animals or wind to another place with favourable living conditions for reproduction.

Fungi also reproduce .They do not reproduce through Seeds or stem cuttings. They produce through spores. The spores are very tiny and usually brown. The black spots on mould bread are the spore cases.

There can be billions of spores in a single mushroom.
