Science (comes from the Latin word scientia meaning knowledge) refers to a system of acquiring knowledge based on scientific method, and to the organized body of knowledge gained through such research. It may refer to a highly skilled technique, technology, or practice, from which a good deal of randomness in outcome has been removed. Natural Science refers to a naturalistic approach to the study of the universe, which is understood as obeying rules or laws of natural origin. It also refers to fields that use the scientific method to study nature. Social Science refers to fields that use the scientific method to study human behavior and society. It is also defined as the field of academic scholarship which explores aspects of human society. It is further subdivided into various disciplines like Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Geography, Linguistics, Political Science and Psychology. Physical Science is a branch of Natural Science that studies abiotic or non-living systems. Biological Science is a branch of Natural Science that studies biotic or living organisms.
