A2 Coursework Briefs

1. A promotion package for a new film, to include a trailer, together with two of the following three options: a. a website homepage for the film; b. a film magazine front cover, featuring the film; c. a poster for the film.

2. A promotion package for a new soap opera, to include a TV trailer, together with two of the following three options: a. a listings magazine front cover featuring the new soap; b. two hyperlinked webpages (with video extract) for the soaps website; c. a poster for the soap. 3. A selection of materials related to an original childrens TV drama, to include the title sequence to the TV programme, together with two of the following three options: a. the front cover to a magazine for the series; b. a DVD cover for the series; c. a radio advertisement for the magazine. 4. An extract from an original documentary TV programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options: a. a radio trailer for the documentary; b. a double-page spread from a listings magazine focused on the documentary; c. a newspaper advertisement for the documentary.

5. A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes, which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with two of the following three options: a. a poster for the film; b. a radio trailer for the film; c. a film magazine review page featuring the film.

6. An extract/package from a local TV news programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options: a. two hyperlinked pages from the programmes website; b. a generic radio trailer for the programme; c. a short title sequence for the programme.
All material for all tasks to be produced by the candidates with the exception of acknowledged non-original sound or image material used in a limited way in video/radio work. Further guidance will be available in the support materials. For music video, permission should be sought from the artist for use of the audio track.
